One of the games on Friday’s NBA slate features the Memphis Grizzlies hosting the Cleveland Cavaliers. Can Memphis slow down Cleveland in our Grizzlies vs Cavaliers pick?

Grizzlies Shooting For Fifth Consecutive Victory

After dropping a 120-103 decision to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Mar. 5, the Grizzlies have won their last four games, including a 122-115 victory over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.

Luke Kennard was the headline performer in this game. He scored 30 points and collected four rebounds off the bench. He shot an impressive 11-for-14 from the field and 7-for-9 from beyond the arc.

Ja Morant finished with 28 points and seven assists while Desmond Bane contributed 17 points, nine assists and five rebounds.

Memphis led 64-50 at the break before Utah battled back to take a one-point lead late in the fourth quarter. However, Kennard knocked down a huge 3-pointer and was fouled in the process.

The four-point play gave Memphis a 114-111 advantage with 2:50 left to play in regulation.

Can Anyone Slow Down The Cavaliers?

The Cavaliers have not lost a game in over a month. Their most recent triumph is a 109-104 victory against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night.

With Donovan Mitchell out of the mix due to an injury, Darius Garland spearheaded an offense in which four starters reached double figures. His final stat line included 30 points, eight assists, four rebounds, and four steals.

Jarrett Allen scored 23 points, pulled down 13 rebounds, and blocked three shots. Evan Mobley chipped in with 21 points, nine boards, and six dimes.

After overcoming a 13-point halftime deficit Cleveland led 101-99 with 56 seconds remaining. Brooklyn’s Cameron Johnson missed a 3-point attempt that ended up on the backboard.

Garland converted a layup on the ensuring possession and then knocked down two free throws, to give the Cavaliers a six-point advantage.

With its recent victory, Cleveland clinched the Central Division title for the eighth time in its 55-year history.

Grizzlies vs Cavaliers Pick: Cleveland Keeps Rolling Against Memphis

The Grizzlies are a pedestrian 5-5 in their last 10 games and are ranked 25th in scoring defense. On the flip side of the narrative, they have the sixth-best offensive rating, which means they can score buckets with the best of them.

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers have won 15 straight games for the second time this season. Not only are they a top-10 squad from a defensive standpoint, this group also boasts the league’s best offense, averaging 122.7 points per outing.

In addition to their 15-game winning streak, the Cavaliers have also won the last four matchups in this series. With that in mind, look for Cleveland to stay hot against Memphis.
