The alternative event on the PGA Tour this weekend comes in the form of the second edition of the Myrtle Beach Classic. This event will be staged at Dunes Golf and Beach Club in South Carolina, and it will cover a total yardage of 7,347.

Chris Gotterup was the inaugural winner of the event in 2024, as he finished 22-under and boasted a six-shot advantage over Alistair Docherty and Davis Thompson, who both finished in a share of second.

Gotterup won at odds of +7000 last season, meaning that bettors shouldn’t be afraid of taking a price in South Carolina. One of the players at a big price that could be worth considering is Ryo Hisatsune. The star has finished in positions of 18th or better in each of his last six starts.

Victor Perez is another player who should go well this weekend. Perez eventually finished in a tie for 60th at The CJ Cup last weekend, but he is a world-class player who could be over-priced in the betting this weekend.

Ryan Fox is my top choice in the betting this weekend. Fox has already won 17 titles across the world, and he has been striking consistently on the Tour in 2025. He has already finished in the top 20 on two occasions this season, and he was a top five finisher in the Myrtle Beach Classic in 2024.
