Buehler Hopes To Build on His Great NLCS Start
As he rebounded from Tommy John surgery, Walker Buehler had struggled to regain his past dominance. He seemingly found it against the Mets in a crucial Game 3 start. Although he only pitched four innings, he struck out six and the impressive part of Buehler’s performance was the return of his strikeout stuff and ability to clamp down when there were baserunners.
Notably, Buehler has stated that he feels stronger in the cooler weather and Yankee Stadium is expected to be chilly.
Shohei Ohtani jammed his left shoulder stealing second base in Game 2. But much to the Dodgers and MLB‘s relief, he is expected to play in Game 3. Ohtani is the only Dodgers hitter who has homered off Yankees starter Clarke Schmidt.
The Yankees Need to Get Aaron Judge Going
The Yankees have overcome two games to none deficits in past World Series. However, team captain Aaron Judge has been slumping. So far this postseason, Judge batted .154 in the ALDS, .167 in the ALCS, and is hitting .111 in the World Series.
Unless Judge starts hitting, this series will end in New York with the Dodgers celebrating the middle of the field.
The Yankees have limited experience against Buehler. Jazz Chisholm is 3 for 5 with a double; Anthony Rizzo is 2 for 9 with a double; and Juan Soto is 4 for 15 with 2 RBI.

World Series Game 3 Prediction: The Dodgers Will Take a 3 Game Series Lead
So far, the Yankees have been overmatched. Buehler has struggled this season, but the Dodgers are quick to entrust games to their deep and diverse bullpen. Unless Judge suddenly starts hitting and Schmidt holds the Dodgers in check, New York will lose the game, and most likely, the series in Game 4.
