There is exciting NHL action to look ahead to on Tuesday evening, as the Tampa Bay Lightning return to competition at the Amalie Arena. The Lightning have lost their previous two games, and will be bidding to return to winning ways. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Wild have also lost their last two.

Before Betting On Wild vs Lightning

This game looks to come at a crucial time for both the Tampa Bay Lightning and Minnesota Wild. Both sides come into this game on Tuesday having lost their previous two, with the Lightning also having lost four of their previous ten. Despite that, they remain third in the Atlantic Division, and are five points off second-placed Toronto Maple Leafs.

A second straight defeat was inflicted on the Lightning over the weekend, as they were beaten 6-3 by the Calgary Flames. That loss means that they have now conceded eleven goals in their previous two games, and a return to the Amalie Arena is welcomed. Tampa scored two of their three goals in the second period of that defeat, with a fine effort scored in the final frame.

The Minnesota Wild is in a very similar position to the Lightning, as they sit third in the Central Division. However, they are nine points adrift of the top two in their respective division, as they have won just five of their previous ten games. Three losses over that period have been suffered in regulation.

The latest of those was suffered against the Florida Panthers over the weekend. That 5-3 result means that they have allowed ten in their last ten, as they also conceded five in a defeat against the Carolina Hurricanes late last week. They have picked up just one away win from their previous three on the road, with that success coming against the Washington Capitals last Tuesday.

The Wild has a fine record in this fixture, as they have won each of their previous two against the Lightning, and seven of their previous eight. It may be worth following that trend for this game on Tuesday.
