Arizona has rolled out to a 15-3 start to the season, but all three of those losses have come in conference play including an 87-68 throttling in Oregon last Saturday as -4 point favorites. USC (13-5) has their hands full going to Tucson where the Wildcats are 9-1, but the Trojans have won consecutive games by an average of 11 points and have covered the number in six of their last seven overall.

Before Betting on USC vs Arizona

It’s not entirely impossible to go on the road to the McKale Center and get a win, as Washington State did it two weeks ago in a 74-61 victory over the Wildcats as +12 point underdogs. That being said that was the first loss Arizona had at home in the last 28 games, so they’ll be hungry to get back on track in their first tilt in Tucson since that defeat.

Arizona has lost two of their last three and it’s mostly because their guards are ice cold. Kerr Kriisa is 5-23 shooting in the losses, Courtney Ramey had three straight games recently scoring 5 points or less, and Pelle Larsson has reached double figures just once in the last six games.

What makes Arizona so dangerous even if their guards continue to struggle shooting is that they are huge on the interior with 6’11” Ąžuolas Tubelis and 7’0″ Oumar Ballo. It would be a big step if USC can get 7’1 freshman Vince Iwuchukwu some upgraded minutes on Thursday as he works his way back from a cardiac issue in the offseason.

USC vs Arizona Prediction & Pick

Strange to see the total a whole 2.5 points lower between Bovada and MyBookie which always presents a solid middling opportunity. That being said USC getting +8 points seems to be the way to go here, as Arizona might find themselves looking ahead to facing #5 and Pac-12 leading UCLA on Saturday – and the Wildcats haven’t been playing that well regardless.

Pick: USC +8
