There are just eight women left standing in the US Open. It has been a coming out party for some of the brightest young stars in the world, but could one, or maybe more of them reach the last four of the competition this year?

Elina Svitolina vs Leylah Fernandez

Leylah Fernandez (+1.5)-130

The first quarterfinal of the US Open will see Canadian youngster Leylah Fernandez look to create another shock result. Fernandez faces the biggest test of the competition so far, as she comes up against fifth seed Elina Svitolina.

Fernandez will not be nervous coming into this match, as she has already beaten Grand Slam winners on her way through to this point. The 19-year-old beat two-time US Open champion Naomi Osaka in the third round in three sets, before beating multiple Slam winner Angelique Kerber in the round of 16 on Sunday evening.

Svitolina will present the biggest challenge to date though, as the Ukrainian has already sailed through the four previous matches that she has played without dropping a set. She is many people’s pick to win the entire Slam, and it’s likely that she will prove to be just too strong for the Canadian.

Pick: Elina Svitolina

Barbora Krejcikova vs Aryna Sabalenka

Barbora Krejcikova (+1.5)-170
Aryna Sabalenka (-1.5)+140

There will be a battle between two players seeded in the top ten at the US Open on Tuesday evening, as Barbora Krejcikova and Aryna Sabalenka meet in the quarterfinals.

Sabalenka is our pick to win the entire Slam, and has been in dominant fashion to this point. She has already knocked out two seeded players. Sabalenka saw off Elise Mertens in the previous round 6-4, 6-1. She has dropped just one set in reaching the quarterfinals of the competition.

Krejcikova is yet to drop a set so far in the US Open, and overcome her biggest challenge of the competition in the previous round. She managed to overcome Garbine Muguruza 6-3, 7-6 to set up this quarterfinal showdown. However, it is still challenging to see past Sabalenka, as her eyes are focused on winning a first Slam.

Pick: Aryna Sabalenka

Emma Radacanu vs Belinda Bencic

Belinda Bencic-150

It has been a famous run to the quarterfinals for Emma Radacanu, as she continues to show that she is one of the best young players on the tour. However, she faces a huge task in the quarterfinals, as she clashes with Olympic champion Belinda Bencic.

Radacunu has been the story of the US Open to this point, as she has dropped just eleven games between qualifying and the main draw. The 18-year-old has shown confidence beyond her years throughout the slam, and was excellent beating Shelby Rogers in straight sets in the previous round.

Swiss star Belinda Bencic is certainly one of the standout players in this round, and could be expected to go on and win the US Open. She fought hard in the last round to beat Iga Swiatek in straight sets. This will be a tough game, but she will need to be at her very best to get the win. However, we think this is where the big shock could come.

Pick: Emma Radacanu

Karolina Pliskova vs Maria Sakkari

Karolina Pliskova is one of the top seeded players left standing in the US Open, as she is seeded at fourth. She has dropped just one set reaching this stage of the competition, but eased through in the end with a 7-5, 6-4 win in the round of 16 against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

Maria Sakkari would be our pick to make it through this game though, as she has already knocked out some huge stars. She beat Petra Kvitova in the third round, before knocking out former Slam champion Bianca Andreescu in the round of 16 after a three set thriller.
