PSG vs Manchester City Odds

PSG DrawManchester City

Saints Have to do Better Than Against Bayern

Pochettino’s boys survived Bayern in the quarterfinals, but they now have possibly an even bigger challenge ahead of themselves. The Saints will need to be better than against the German champs, and raise the level of play. In both quarterfinal games, PSG had a lot of luck, but at some point, that might run out.

When looking at the last 10 games, the Parisians posted seven wins and had three defeats. Just two games during that span haven’t ended with three or more goals, while one more concluded with both teams netting.

As mentioned above, the main worry for Pochettino is Mbappe’s health. The fantastic striker suffered an injury against Metz in the last round, just three minutes before the end. Without him, PSG is completely a different team.

Man City’s Quest for Glory

It might not be an original Treble, but the Citizens have a chance to win three trophies in 2021. They already clinched the English Football League Cup, defeating Tottenham in the finals, and have almost secured the Premiership honors. The only piece of silverware they lack is the UEFA Champions League title.

After beating the Spurs on Sunday, the morale among City’s players is high. But what is another reason for that is the fact that Guardiola has all of his players ready for Wednesday’s game, including Kevin De Bruyne, who appeared against Tottenham.

About the efficiency, eight of the past 10 matches Man City played saw 2 or 3 goals, which is something normal for them throughout this year.

These teams faced one another in the 2016 UCL quarterfinals, and the English side had more success. Following a 2-2 draw in Paris, City won in the rematch, 1-0, with De Bruyne scoring the only goal. Other than that, City and PSG played in the scores.

PSG vs Manchester City Prediction and Pick

Pochettino’s tactic is simple. Defend and wait for the chance to strike from transition, using Neymar, Mbappe, Di Maria, and the other forwards. If Mbappe isn’t ready, he will additionally strengthen the block in front of his goal. Meanwhile, the Citizens won’t be too aggressive, but for sure, they will keep the ball in their possession. At first glance, we could expect to see a defensive and careful approach from both teams. As the logical conclusion after all the written, we suggest betting on low efficiency, under 2.5 goals.
