The Philadelphia Eagles (10-1) can already clinch a spot in the postseason if they pick up a win over the Tennessee Titans (7-4) on Sunday. That’s how impressive the Eagles have been this year, and a big reason for their success has been the acquisition of WR A.J. Brown in the offseason – from these Titans. It’s crazy that the best team in the NFL, who is at home, also has a revenge angle in Sunday’s game against visiting Tennessee.

Before Betting on Titans vs Eagles

The Eagles gave up the 18th and 101st picks for Brown – not horrible – but then they signed him to the 4-year, $100 million contract that Tennessee refused to negotiate. Brown, still just 25 years old, has been legit (53 rec, 831 yards) but this is also a trade where both teams won – Philadelphia getting the piece they needed to get over the hump while the Titans saved $100 million and are still in line to win their third straight AFC South title (it pays to be in a division with the Colts, Jaguars, and Texans).

A.J. Brown storylines aside, Philadelphia is looking for a third straight win even though it was kind of a rough month. The Eagles suffered their first loss of the season – and at home on a Monday night – to Washington, barely got by the hapless Colts (17-16), and weathered a comeback by Green Bay 40-33 last Sunday.

With the #18 pick that Tennessee got from Philadelphia they took Arkansas WR Treylon Burks, but you can’t expect the rookie to match All-Pro like numbers especially when he battled injuries earlier this season. That being said the Titans only threw for 201.1 ypg last year, down a bit to 175.9 in 2022 but they still run the ball with Derrick Henry (1,048 yards, 10 TDs) and play sound rush defense (84.5 ypg).

Titans vs Eagles Prediction & Pick

The Titans don’t get a lot of credit for being a 7-4 team due to their division, but this is a team that is underrated pretty solid. In three of their losses they only allowed 21 points or less, so it really all comes down to how well the Tennessee offense performs in Philadelphia. The Eagles have a very solid unit on paper (304.4 ypg) but they’ve also allowed 32+ points in each of their last two home games. Tennessee doesn’t reach that number Sunday, but they keep this game in the 24-21 range.
Pick: Titans +5
