A huge week of European soccer continues this week, as the Europa League takes center stage on Thursday. Two previous winners of the competition clash in their second leg, with neither side any closer to booking their spot in the semi-finals. But, will it be Man United or Sevilla qualifying for the last four of the tournament?

Before Betting On Sevilla vs Man United

It was very much job done for Sevilla following the first leg between the sides at Old Trafford last Thursday. The Spanish side battled back from 2-0 down to secure a 2-2 draw courtesy of some questionable defending by the Red Devils. Sevilla was handed a lifeline following a Tyrell Malacia own goal, before a second own goal, this time from Harry Maguire, ensured it was honors even heading to Spain this week.

United looked in complete control of the tie after just 21 minutes, as they sailed into a 2-0 lead following Marcel Sabitzer’s first two European goals for the Red Devils. However, United failed to capitalize on that quick start, and were left hanging on to a draw in the final moments, as they battled across the line with just ten men on the field.

Sevilla should come into this second leg in good confidence, as they have never previously lost against United in four previous meetings. However, the only match between the sides in Seville ended in a 0-0 draw in February 2018.

The home side of the Spanish club is excellent, as they have landed 23 wins from their 26 matches in Seville in the Europa League. However, United has been excellent on the road in the Europa League, as they have lost just once in their previous 32 matches.

This should be a thrilling second leg between the sides, as both sides will chase the win to book their spot in the semi-final stage. Injuries appear to be catching up for United, but this game could set up perfectly for the Red Devils to pounce on the counter-attack. Therefore, we could see United landing a 2-1 win.
