The Europa League semi-finals are completed this week, as the second legs are staged across Europe on Sunday. One of the most interesting second clashes will be staged in Spain, as Sevilla look to continue their love affair with the competition with a success against Juventus.

Before Betting On Sevilla vs Juventus

No side are as successful in the Europa League throughout history than Sevilla, and they will be targeted yet another appearance in the final this week. The Spanish side would have been delighted with their result in Turin last week, as they battled to a 1-1 draw against Juventus. Youssef En-Nesyri opened the scoring for Sevilla, but the Old Lady rescued a draw in the 97th minute.

This will be the sixth time that the two sides will clash in European competition, with Sevilla having landed victory on just one previous occasion. Meanwhile, Juventus has landed two wins from the previous five encounters. But, the Old Lady have won just two of their previous 17 away matches against Spanish opposition, keeping just one clean sheet over that period.

Sevilla’s home advantage on Thursday could be a key factor, as they have never lost a Europa League knockout clash when playing the second leg at home. They have progressed from all previous nine ties, and they have won 24 of their 27 home matches in the competition.

Juventus will be looking for history this week, as they are bidding to reach a European final for the first time since 2016-17. However, Sevilla has a strong record in the Europa League, as they will be looking to reach the Europa League final for the fifth time in their history.
