On Saturday Night in the National Football League – a pair of NFC North teams will get together at Lambeau Field. This is a Christmas Eve affair between the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers. The home team Green Bay Packers have been eliminated from postseason play. Green Bay is 7-7 after their loss last week to the Carolina Panthers.

The Minnesota Vikings have a ton to play for, as they are 11-3 on the season, and have won the NFC North. Minnesota is a game behind the Philadelphia Eagles for the top seed in the NFC. The Vikings are Super Bowl 52 hosts. The Minnesota Vikings are -9 over the Green Bay Packers in a National Football League Week 16 game on Saturday night.

Packers Finishing 2017

The Green Bay Packers will start Brett Hundley in this game in place of Aaron Rodgers. This game against the Vikings is where Rodgers was injured in the first meeting. The Packers are also without Devante Adams, who suffered a concussion in the loss to the Panthers. Adams leads the team with 885 receiving yards on the season.

Aaron Jones has been the top running back, but Green Bay has no single player over 500 rushing yards this season. The Packers are 18th in the league with 107.7 yards per game. The passing game has dipped to 22nd with 206.3 yards per game. Green Bay will end it’s 2017 season on New Years Eve on the road at the Detroit Lions.

Minnesota Has Alot to Play For

Mike Zimmer and the Minnesota Vikings have a ton to play for in this game. Zimmer is likely a candidate for NFL Coach of the Year along with McVay from Los Angeles and Marrone from Jacksonville. The Vikings finish their 2017 season against the Chicago Bears, so with a win here – 13 wins is within reach. If the Vikings win both and see Philadelphia lose a game, they will not leave Minnesota for the Super Bowl.

The Vikings have seen Case Keenum put up some great numbers this season. The former backup in St. Louis completed 290 of 427 passes for more than 3,200 yards and 20 touchdowns this season. Adam Thielen needs 17 receptions in the final 2 games to reach 100. Thielen has 1,191 yards receiving and 4 touchdowns on the season.

Vikings Whip Packers

It’s not too often you see a game at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, and the Packers are nearly a double digit underdog. Especially in a huge rivalry game against the Vikings. But, the Packers are beat up, and Minnesota is really good. Look for the Vikings to mix the ball on the ground and the ball via the air. Green Bay is going to have a tough time moving the football on the Packers. The Vikings are going to win this game on the road. Bet on the Minnesota Vikings -9 over the Green Bay Packers in National Football League action on Saturday night.
