Before Betting on Royals vs Angels June 22

The Los Angeles Angels are huge favorites on the offshore odds for Wednesday night’s contest with the Kansas City Royals as it’s a Shohei Ohtani (5-4, 3.28 ERA) outing on the mound. Ohtani is hoping that the Royals have used up all their offense, already posting a 6-2 and a 12-11 victory this series.

The big problem facing KC in the Royals vs Angels June 22 matchup is that it is getaway day after the team wraps up a long West Coast road swing. It’s been a successful one so far though, with the Royals getting a win in San Francisco, taking two of three from the A’s, and already clinching their series vs. the Angels. KC belted out 14 hits in Tuesday’s 11-inning win and had 11 hits on Monday – is there anything left in the tank?

Kansas City starter Daniel Lynch (3-6, 5.19 ERA) is coming off his best start of the season when he allowed just 1 ER while striking out 10 in a 5-1 win over the A’s on Friday. Mike Trout has 13 K’s in his last 28 ABs for the Angels, so maybe Lynch can take advantage of the superstar misfiring lately.

The Royals are in a tough spot here wrapping up a long West Coast road swing. KC may consider it a successful one at 5-4 already so they could really mail this one in. The Angels need a win and the 11 runs scored on Tuesday night is usually enough to get one. The LAA run line looks like the play here with good value on the -1.5 across the board.
