Champions League action once again takes place this week, as the second round of group stage fixtures take place. Wednesday will see the European champions in action, as Real Madrid look for a second straight victory against RB Leipzig. You can find the latest offshore odds for the fixture here.

Before Betting On Real Madrid vs RB Leipzig

Real Madrid will be looking for a second straight win to kickstart their Champions League campaign this term. The Spanish giants were commanding 3-0 winners on matchday one against Celtic. Meanwhile, RB Leipzig will be looking for a much better effort in their second fixture, as they were brushed aside by Shakhtar Donetsk last week in their opening fixture.

This week’s fixture will mark the 14th time that Leipzig have come up against Spanish opposition in a European competition. Meanwhile, Madrid were beaten in their last previous fixture that they played against a German opponent for the first time. Leipzig’s record against Spanish opposition is also pretty strong, as they have gone three without defeat.

However, Real are unbeaten in their previous eleven games against club sides from Germany, winning on seven occasions. Madrid have also scored at least twice in all previous eleven fixtures against German sides.

The last German side to beat Madrid was Wolfsburg in April 2016. It could also be a famous night for Carlo Ancelotti on Wednesday, as he could record his 100th victory in the competition. That feat would see him match Sir Alex Ferguson, who is the only manager to win more than 100 games in the Champions League.
