Regroup Time for Baltimore

The Baltimore Ravens had their 2-0 start to the season in hand, leading Miami 35-14 going into the 4th quarter last Sunday before Tua Tagovailoa absolutely went off to get the Dolphins a 42-38 victory. The good news for John Harbaugh’s crew is that the New England Patriots (1-1) don’t seem to have anywhere near the weapons that the Dolphins do in the likes of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

New England might be the most uninteresting team in the NFL in the first two weeks, but that’s also how Bill Belichick likes it. The Patriots lost 20-7 to the Dolphins in week one (not a bad defensive performance looking back) and then had a ho-hum 17-14 victory over the Steelers last week. New England’s 12.0 ppg ranks 30th in the NFL.

Lost in the defensive meltdown last week was a great performance by Ravens QB Lamar Jackson who threw for 318 yards and 3 TDs while also running for another 116 and a score. New England has put up some solid defensive numbers this season (top 10 in total yards, passing yards, rushing yards, and points allowed) but Jackson is ready to shine again in the Ravens Patriots week 3 matchup. Will his defense provide any help this time?

Ravens Patriots Week 3 Prediction

It’s wild that there’s a full point discrepancy between BetOnline and BetUS which could mean money is coming in all over this game. Had Baltimore closed out Miami last week this game might be Ravens -5 or higher so there is some value on Baltimore in that respect. The Patriots just don’t do anything to impress you offensively which is why Ravens -2 has to be the play.
