Although it would be nice for the Texas Rangers to close out the Fall Classic back at home, considering this team has gone 10-0 on the road this postseason it doesn’t look likely the World Series makes it back to Arlington for a Game 6. Then again, Arizona did rally for six runs in the 8th and 9th inning on Tuesday, so maybe they have some momentum despite the 11-7 loss in Game 5.

Before Betting on Rangers vs Diamondbacks Game 5

Tuesday night’s late inning production proved to be just a bit too late for the Diamondbacks, who were already down 10-0 by the end of the 3rd inning. Arizona has one last chance to send this series back to Arlington, where they did win Game 2 9-1.

The Diamondbacks stole home field advantage with that Game 2 victory, but like every team this postseason they haven’t been able to beat Texas when the Rangers go on the road.

Three of the four games in this year’s World Series have gone over the betting total, but Wednesday’s matchup between Nathan Eovaldi and Zac Gallen looks like a pitching duel on paper. Eovaldi was tagged for 5 runs by Arizona in Game 1 (4.2 IP) but had allowed 2 ER or less in three of his four previous 2023 playoff starts.

Gallen had a great regular season as his 17 wins were second in the majors to Atlanta’s Spencer Strider, but he’s allowed 12 ER combined in his last three starts this playoffs – all Arizona losses.

Rangers vs Diamondbacks Game 5 Prediction & Pick

Arizona tacked on a lot of runs late in Game 4, but by then the damage was already done and Texas was in cruise control. Eovaldi leads the postseason with 4 wins, and with the Rangers being so dominant on the road in these playoffs they are hard to go against.
