Browns Want Four in a Row

After the opening defeat in Kansas City against the Chiefs, Baker Mayfield and his gang quickly recovered and, after that, won three matches in a row. One by one, the Houston Texans, the Chicago Bears, and finally, the Minnesota Vikings laid their weapons before the franchise from Ohio.

We need to credit their defense, which has been excellent in the past two events allowing 13 points combined. Now, we know that the Bears are not an elite attacking unit, but limiting the Vikes in Minnesota to just seven points is more than good.

They allow only 66.5 yards on the ground, which is superb. On the other side, their rushing game is incredible as well. Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, plus all the others, provide 177 yards in each even. Therefore, it is easy for Mayfield to orchestrate his offense with such a devastating weapon in his hands.

Justin and the Boys

Last season’s Offensive Rookie of the Year, Justin Herbert, is already playing like a veteran. This is his sophomore year, and we’ve seen some great stuff from this kid, who has the potential to be an elite pretty soon.

He leads the Chargers ‘ offense very smoothly with nine touchdown passes and only three picks, plus 1178 yards. All the players have their share of snaps, and during the matches Herbert perfectly chooses what and when to play.

Mike Williams is his primary target, and the WR already has 306 receiving yards with four TDs. Keenan Allen has 294 and one TD, the same as Jared Cook, who posted 181 yards. Austin Ekeler provided four touchdowns in total, and 424 yards from the scrimmage.

Browns vs Chargers Head to Head

The Chargers lead in the series with 17 wins, opposite to just nine the Browns have. One match saw a draw. The most recent game was in 2018, when LAC won in Ohio, 38-14.

Browns vs Chargers Prediction and Pick

The Browns are looking pretty tough this season, but to be honest, they still haven’t played against a team in good shape. With all due respect to Vikings, they aren’t really good for measuring the Browns’ strength this season. We will give a slight advantage to the home side, who has already played against top teams in the league, among them the Chiefs and the Cowboys, plus the Raiders. It might be tricky, but the odds are worth trying.
