Indianapolis Colts vs. Green Bay Packers Odds

Colts Keeping the Momentum

The team from Indianapolis defeated their biggest rivals for the AFC South’s top, the Tennessee Titans, last week. Furthermore, the Colts’ 34-17 win was on the road, meaning that they have a small edge over the team from Nashville. In order to keep it that way, Indianapolis needs to win against the Packs.

Philip Rivers’ productivity in this match would be of the utmost importance. The veteran QB who recently eclipsed Dan Marino on the fifth place on the all-time passing list, has a mediocre season, with just 11 TD passes and seven picks. He was 29-of-39 against the Titans for one TD and 308 yards.

Nyheim Hines was perfect with 70 rushing and 45 receiving yards with two TDs. His contribution will be extremely important, the same as the defensive backs who need to stop the Packs’ WRs. Overall the defense was looking good against the Titans, but we need to point out that hosts in that one had two terrible mistakes that helped Cots a lot.

Real Test for Green Bay

Despite having 7 wins and just 2 losses, we do not believe in the Packers. They were blown into pieces against Tampa Bay, and after that, Minnesota defeated them at Lambeau, after a bye week once they regrouped.

Against the Jags last week, Packs showed numerous weaknesses in the offense, with the physical Jacksonville defense often crushing the O-line. Rodgers was picked once, which is a rare situation to see at Lambeau. However, Green Bay won that one mostly due to Rodger’s improvisation and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who had 149 receiving yards.

The “Smith brothers” were excellent in defense, combining for two sacks, three tackles for loss, and 11 hits. We’ll see how they play against one of the best offensive lines in the NFL.

Head to Head Matches

Colts and Packers met for the last time in 2016, and Indianapolis won that game in Green Bay, 31-26. Previously, they played in Indianapolis four years earlier, and the hosts snatched a victory there.

Prediction

The margin for the total number of points set at 51. With Rivers on one and Rodgers on the other side, we can’t go with any other prediction in this match but with Over. Lucas Oil Stadium will be covered, meaning that both QBs will have perfect circumstances for a showdown.
