The National Football League starts it’s postseason this weekend with a pair of Wildcard games Saturday and another pair of games on Sunday. It’s wildcard weekend, and the winners of these four games will go on the road next weekend and take on the four top seeds, who are off this weekend on bye.  The Los Angeles Rams are -7 over the Atlanta Falcons in postseason action on Saturday night. Let’s take a look at a NFC Wildcard game on Saturday.

Falcons Seeking Upset on the Road

The Atlanta Falcons are on the road, a place where they went 5-3 this season. Atlanta finished the season with a 10-6 record, which was third in the NFC South. The Falcons finished a single game behind the Saints and the Panthers. Atlanta needed a win in Week 17 to get into the postseason. The Falcons beat the Panthers. On the season, Atlanta scored 353 points, and allowed 315.

Matt Ryan is the defending Most Valuable Player in the NFL. The quarterback will not win back to back Super Bowl awards, but he still put together a solid season. The signal caller threw for more than 4,000 yards and 20 touchdowns. Julio Jones is still the top target for the Falcons, as he finished just 56 yards shy of 1,500 on the season. Atlanta was 8th in the passing game with 249.4 yards per game, and 13th in rushing yards with 115.4 per game.

Rams Enjoying 2017 – 2018

Sean Mc’Vay and the Los Angeles Rams are having a sensational season in the second season in Los Angeles. The Rams won the NFC West over the Seattle Seahawks by 2 games. The Rams won 4 out of their last 6 games in the regular season, which counts the Week 17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The Rams sat most of their regular starters in this game.

Todd Gurley was one of the top running backs in all of the National Football League. The former Georgia running back rushed for 1,305 yards and 13 touchdowns. Jared Goff is in his second season as the quarterback and threw for 3,804 yards and 28 touchdowns. Cooper Kupp is a rookie, and led the Rams in receiving yards. Kupp caught 62 passes for 869 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Falcons End Rams Season

There is a look at the Los Angeles Rams and Atlanta Falcons. In the end, the Atlanta Falcons with their postseason experience, their defense and their talented offensive unit are going to win this game. The Rams may have a chance to get back to the Super Bowl in the future, but for now it’s too early. The first game for many of the Los Angeles Rams in the postseason is going to be a home loss.
