In the National Basketball Association – the Cleveland Cavaliers will host the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday afternoon. The Cleveland Cavaliers are 35-23 on the season, which is third in the Eastern Conference. The Cavaliers are 20-8 at home this season, and have won 6 out of their last 10 games.

The San Antonio Spurs are also the third seed – out of the Western Conference. The Spurs are tied with Minnesota for third, 11 games behind the top seeded Rockets. The Spurs are only 3 games up on the 9th seeded Los Angeles Clippers.  The Cleveland Cavaliers are -4.5 over the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday in the National Basketball Association.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are playing their third game in four days. The Cavaliers fell to the Washington Wizards, but then bounced back with a 23 point win over the Grizzlies. Cleveland remains at the top of the Central Division, as they are 1.5 games ahead of the Pacers. Cleveland is the 5th highest scoring team in the league as they are scoring more than 110 points per game.

Defensively, the Cavaliers are allowing opponents to score 109.6 points per game, which is the 6th worst in all of the league. LeBron James is scoring more than 26 points per game, and adding with 8.2 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game. Kevin Love is the top rebounder for Cleveland, but will miss a couple more games with injury.

Spurs Struggling

Gregg Popovich and his San Antonio Spurs are struggling heading into this game. A team that is known for their defense have allowed 100+ points in all four games, and more than 116 in three out of the four games. The defense has dropped to 98.9 points per game, which still stays the best in the league.

Offensively, the Spurs are struggling to score. The Spurs have the fourth worst offense in all of the league with just shy of 102 points per game. The top scorer for San Antonio this season has been LaMarcus Aldridge, with more than 22 points per game. Kawhi Leonard has missed most of the season, and reports are he will miss the remainder of the season.

Cleveland’s Offense Runs Spurs Out of Gym

The Cleveland Cavaliers offense improved at the deadline, along with their defense. George Hill and Jordan Clarkson help handle the basketball, and shoot from the outside. Larry Nance Jr is a nice addition inside for Cleveland. The Cavaliers are going to have too much offense for the Spurs to keep up with in this game. San Antonio drops their fifth straight game, as the Cavaliers whip the Spurs.
