The National Basketball Association is in it’s final month plus of the season, and there is plenty of drama around the league. There are several burning questions that we are on pins and needles to see how the result pans out. Let’s take a look at a few of the top story lines as we approach the final 15 games of the season for each team:

Can the Houston Rockets take the Top Seed in the West?

James Harden, Chris Paul and Clint Capela and the rest of the Houston Rockets are doing everything in their power to win the Western Conference top seed. The problem is – they are trying to hold off one of the best dynasties in NBA history. The Houston Rockets enter the second weekend in March with a 51-13 record. That’s just half game ahead of the Warriors. The Rockets and Warriors do not meet each other again this season, but it’s going to be decided by the rest of the league. While the winner gets home court advantage in the Western Conference Finals, is it worth exhausting veteran players to grab it?

Can the Toronto Raptors Win the Eastern Conference?

The Toronto Raptors have had a history of collapsing in the postseason. The Raptors are trying to do anything they can to make sure they have the home court advantage if they are going to collapse this season. The Raptors are 27-5 at home, and hold a 2 game lead over the Celtics with 18 games to go. The Raptors are playing defense, but also one of the most impressive teams on the offensive side, and their bench has been deadly.

Will James Harden hold on for NBA MVP?

All season, James Harden has been the guy people are talking about as the 2017 – 2018 NBA MVP. And Harden should win this award. He was the runner up a season ago, and is basically telling voters there is no other answer with his 31 points per game. But, Anthony Davis has been absolutely dynamite. Davis scored over 30+ per game in the month of February and has willed the Pelicans into a prime spot in the Western Conference playoffs picture. Davis has some injury concerns, so it will be interesting to see how he finishes ou the season, but his 28 points and 11 rebounds per game, along with what he has done without DeMarcus Cousins has been incredible.

Which team will win Tank-A-Thon?

While the ping pong ball draft really decides who gets the #1 pick, you can certainly help your cause by being the worst team in the league. There are plenty of teams doing everything in their power, or at least pretending to. Overall – there are alot of bad teams in the National Basketball Association. With just over a month to go, the losers of 15 straight have the worst record in the league – the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies continue to sit starters out and have won just 5 games away from home. But they are not too far “ahead” of the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference, with Atlanta and Orlando battling just a game or so ahead in the Eastern Conference. It’s legitimate that the Grizzlies may not win another game this season.

There is a look at the four biggest storylines, as we approach the final weeks of the National Basketball Association. We hope you enjoy the action on the court, and are ready for some postseason basketball, which is the best time of the year!
