Before Betting On Monaco Grand Prix

There are few more iconic races on the Formula 1 schedule than the Monaco Grand Prix. This weekend’s race is the shortest of the season, with the field competing over 260.286 km. The race will see 78 laps completed, and it is one of the most dangerous on the schedule due to the narrow nature of the track.

Ayrton Senna is the most successful driver in the history of the race after claiming six victories throughout his career. Max Verstappen landed a second victory in the race last year, while Red Bull have claimed success at the Monaco Grand Prix in each of the last three editions, and four of the last five.

Verstappen continued his dominant start to the new season last weekend after he managed to hold off the challenge from Lando Norris to claim success in Imola. The McLaren driver finished just under a second behind the reigning world champion, but the victory means that the Dutchman has now won five of the seven races this season.

There was a lot to like about the performance of the McLaren, and they look best placed to once again challenge for the victory this weekend. Ferrari endured frustration in their home race in Italy, with Charles Leclerc unable to challenge for second on the podium. Mercedes endured another frustrating weekend, with Lewis Hamilton and George Russell finishing sixth and seventh, respectively.
