The first day of February brings a pretty fun National Basketball Association affair between the Milwaukee Bucks and Minnesota Timberwolves. The Milwaukee Bucks are coming into the game as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with their 27-22 record on the season. The Bucks are 8 games behind the top seeded Boston Celtics, but just 2 games behind the third seeded Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have dropped back to back games. They are fourth in the Western Conference with their 32-22 record in the season. The Timberwolves are back home – a place where they have won 20 out of 26 games this season. Minnesota is just ½ game ahead of the Spurs for the fourth seed. The Minnesota Timberwolves are -4 over the Milwaukee Bucks in the National Basketball Association on Thursday. 

Timberwolves Looking to Get Back on Track

The Minnesota Timberwolves have not only dropped back to back games, but four out of their last five overall. Minnesota’s defense has failed them during that stretch, allowing 115.5 points per game. The Timberwolves despite their struggles hold a slim lead in the Northwest Division over Oklahoma and Portland.

The Timberwolves have seen Jimmy Butler, in his first season since leaving Chicago put up more than 21 points per game. Karl Anthony Towns is second for the Timberwolves with just under 20 per game. The Timberwolves have already surpassed their win total of a season ago, of 31 wins.

Milwaukee Looking to Stay Hot

Since the firing of head coach Jason Kidd – the Milwaukee Bucks have won four straight games. The Bucks are 10-13 on the road this season, which is something they want to improve on. In those four wins, Milwaukee  in those four wins beat the Suns, Nets, Bulls and most recently the Philadelphia 76ers. The Bucks scored 110 points per game during that time

Jabari Parker is expected to return on Friday for the Bucks. He has missed the entire season thus far with his ACL injury. Giannis Antetokounmpo is leading the way with nearly 29 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per game. Khris Middleton is second on the Milwaukee roster with 20.4 points per game.

Minnesota Tops Milwaukee on Thursday

This should be a pretty good basketball game with both teams heading to the postseason. Both teams have young talent, so do not be surprised if both teams are in the postseason for many years to come in their respective conferences. In this game though – the team that is struggling is going to come away with a win, and the hot team falls.
