Marcin Tybura and Serghei Spivac are two heavyweights that have been fighting against elite UFC opponents for years. Both of these guys have been in the top 15 in the Heavyweight Rankings for years, but neither has been able to take that big step forward and challenge for the title.
That probably won’t change ever, but this doesn’t mean that these guys aren’t fun to watch. Given that they’ve got 30 stoppage wins between them, it’s only logical to assume that the Tybura vs. Spivac UFC Vegas 95 fight on August 10 is going to be a hell of a thriller.
Before Betting on Marcin Tybura vs. Serghei Spivac
Marcin Tybura (25-8) and Serghei Spivac (16-4) are meeting again in the Octagon, some four and a half years after their first fight. In their duel, Tybura came out victorious after three rounds. The Polish fighter landed almost twice as many significant strikes as his opponent, along with two takedowns which was enough for him to win by unanimous decision.
Since then, however, Spivac’s fighting style has evolved. He’s become someone who’s very difficult to take down – he suffered just one TD in the eight fights he’s fought since the Tybura bout. Further, in the last three fights that he won, he landed a total of 15 takedowns.
Six of those happened in the fight with Derrick Lewis, in which he stopped the KO master from landing a single punch or kick.
