Minnesota’s NFL record 33-point comeback on Saturday spoiled any faint hopes the Lions had for the NFC North crown, but Detroit is very much still in the thick of things in the NFC playoff race. Dan Campbell’s club is a game back in the win column from both Washington and the Giants in the 6th and 7th spot. The Jets are in the same boat too though, needing a win to keep pace for the AFC wild card where they currently sit in 9th place.

Before Betting on Lions vs Jets

New York will almost reluctantly go back to QB Zach Wilson on Sunday, the former #2 pick who was benched a couple weeks ago after the team had more punts (10) than points in a 10-3 loss to the Patriots.

Mike White had replaced Wilson and led the club to a win over the Bears with 3 TD passes and then two close losses to Minnesota (27-22) and Buffalo (20-12) – both good teams and both games on the road. White showed great resiliency last week against the Bills twice returning after being knocked out by injuries, but he wasn’t cleared medically for Sunday’s game.

The big question for New York is how badly Wilson has lost the locker room? He was asked after the Patriots game whether the offense let down the defense and his response was, “no.” That’s not the situation on the other side of the field, where Lions QB Jared Goff has become a fan favorite after leading the team to a 5-1 record over their last 6 while throwing 10 TDs to 1 INT over that span.

Lions vs Jets Prediction & Pick

Campbell has the Lions playing well, but they are playing in their first road game after having the last three at home. That being said confidence travels for Detroit, and that’s something that Jets QB Wilson has zero of right now. New York can win this if it’s low scoring, but if there’s points it’s going to Detroit.
