Chelsea finally looked to be back to their best in midweek, as they battle back from the brink of elimination to knockout Borussia Dortmund. The Blues will be looking to use that success as a springboard for the remainder of the season, starting with their trip to Leicester City this weekend.

Before Betting On Leicester City vs Chelsea

Chelsea’s dreams of finishing in the top four positions in the Premier League standings already appear to be dead in the water. However, the Blues could build momentum ahead of the start of next season between now and the end of the campaign, with Graham Potter still fighting for his life in the job. In fact, Chelsea’s best route back into the Champions League could come through winning the competition this term.

The Blues were 2-1 winners in the previous meeting between the sides this term, but they will be looking to complete a league double over the Foxes for the first time since the 2016-17 season. Chelsea’s away form would be a huge concern coming into this fixture, as they are without a win in their previous ten. They have lost seven over that period, and this is currently their longest winless run in the league since 2001.

It has been a season to forget for Leicester City, as they remain locked in the battle to avoid relegation. The Foxes have suffered 15 league defeats this term, which is the second most in the Premier League behind Southampton. It is the most defeats that they have suffered in a single season since the 2018-19 campaign.

Leicester’s home record against the Blues is also worrying, as they have recorded just a single victory from their previous six matches against the Blues in the East Midlands. The Foxes were beaten 3-0 in this exact fixture last season.

Chelsea appeared to have turned a corner in their most recent fixture, as they landed a huge 2-0 win over Dortmund. But, we could see them struggling on the road against this weekend, with a likely outcome being the draw.
