One of the most played games in MLS history pits two of the more successful teams against each other in the Western Conference Final.

It’s been 10 long years since LA Galaxy last won an MLS Cup, and if they get a shot at silverware this year, it could extend their record in the competition to six titles.

Seattle Sounders, by contrast, last held the title in 2019 and were runners up the following year.

Both teams therefore have pedigree at this stage, and arguably shouldn’t be fazed by the magnitude of the game.

It might well be that on this occasion, home support at Dignity Health Sports Park is what tips the balance in a match expected to be one for the purists.

Odds Clearly Favor Hosts in Expected MLS Classic

Only three goalless draws in this fixture going back to 2010 suggests goals, and with the wins fairly evenly spread between both sides, bettors have a fight on their hands to land a winning bet. Pre-match odds clearly favor the hosts, however.

Seattle Sounders Team News

LA Galaxy vs. Seattle Sounders Picks

A classic will be expected and the pressure could get to either side. The chance of another appearance in the MLS Cup Final could see the odd elementary mistake creep in.

Since their loss to LAFC back in July, the Galaxy have scored at least twice in every game they’ve played at home, which is an ominous sign for the Sounders.

Though the Sounders beat them 3-1 in Seattle in the Leagues Cup, it’s difficult to look past a Galaxy victory in regulation time.
