The NHL Stanley Cup finals continue on Thursday, as game three sees the series move to Florida for the first time. It will be a must-win game for the Panthers, as they already trail the Vegas Golden Knights 2-0 after suffering back-to-back defeats at the T-Mobile Arena.

Before Betting On Golden Knights vs Panthers

The pressure will be on the Florida Panthers, as the Stanley Cup finals move to FLA Live Arena for the first time later this week. Florida will be aware that game three will be a must-win clash for them, as a defeat in their first home game of the series will leave the Golden Knights on the brink of securing a white-wash success.

The Panthers fell to a 2-0 disadvantage on Monday evening, as they were easily brushed aside by the dominance Golden Knights. Vegas scored twice in the opening period, before adding two further efforts in the second period. Florida finally offered some fightback in the final frame, but the Golden Knights still out-scored their rivals by netting three times.

The final three goals in the game ensured that the Golden Knights picked up a 7-2 win, and a victory in game three will lead them to within one more victory of a first Stanley Cup honor in franchise history. Jonathan Marchessault and Brett Howden were both in excellent form in game two, as both Golden Knight stars ended with two goals apiece.

Back-to-back victories for the Golden Knights now mean that they have won four of their last five against the Panthers. However, each of the previous seven clashes between the sides have been won by the team playing with home advantage. In fact, there has only been one away win in all clashes between the teams since December 2017.

This will be a crucial game for the Panthers in the context of this series, and they can ill-afford to fall to a 3-0 disadvantage. The trend of home wins could be a factor to lean on later this week, meaning that we will be siding with a much-needed victory for the Panthers.
