Alabama has some momentum coming into the SEC Championship Game, beating Auburn on a miraculous 4th and goal TD pass from Jalen Milroe to Isiah Bond from the 31-yard line to win last week’s Iron Bowl. That has kept the Crimson Tide’s CFP hopes alive, but if that’s moving in a positive direction then what do you call Georgia winning 45 of their last 46 games? This should be another classic from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

Before Betting on Georgia vs Alabama

The Crimson Tide’s late win last week was impressive, but you also have to take into consideration they needed essentially a miracle just to win a game they were -13 point favorites in. Auburn stayed in the game – and should have won – despite getting a 5/16, 91 yard passing, 1TD/2INT day from Tigers QB Payton Thorne. You’re not going to hold Georgia to those numbers.

Whatever people thought UGA would lose with longtime starter Stetson Bennett IV going to the NFL has actually been flipped under Carson Beck. The Junior has completed an astonishing 72% of his passes for 3,495 yards. Beck has led the Bulldogs to the #6 total offense (496.3) in the country while scoring the 8th most points (39.6).

What makes Georgia such a powerhouse is that besides a super-efficient offense, they also still have their usual dominant defense again this season. UGA is a top 10 team in yards allowed (294.3) and points given up (15.8). Scoring a ton and not letting your opponent on the board is usually a pretty good strategy for winning.

Georgia vs Alabama Prediction & Pick

Alabama had been pretty dominant in this series winning 7 straight before Georgia ended that streak in the 2021 National Championship Game 33-18. Despite last week’s heroics, Milroe still has some questions at QB for Alabama so you have to play the dominant Bulldogs in this one.

Pick: Georgia -4.5
