The Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder are slated to get together on Wednesday night, and this is a rematch of Paul George against his former teammates. This is also the second of a back to back for the Indiana Pacers, as they played in Minneapolis on Tuesday night.

Heading into Tuesday night, the Indiana Pacers were 1-2. The Pacers scored 140 points in the season opener against the Nets. After that, Indiana fell in back to back  games to the Heat and the Portland Trail Blazers. The Pacers are below Milwaukee, Cleveland and Detroit in the Central Division.

For the Oklahoma City Thunder, after losing in the first round last season, they have high expectations after picking up Paul George and Carmelo Anthony in the off-season. The Thunder have gotten off to a slow start as well. The Thunder did the same as the Pacers; winning their season opener – over the Knicks, but then went to Utah and lost and then recently lost at home to Minnesota on a shot at the buzzer.

The Thunder are in the Northwest Division, where they are the favorites, but currently in a tie for last place with the Denver Nuggets. The Oklahoma City Thunder are -13.5 point favorites at Bovada over Indiana in this game on Wednesday night.

MVP Russell Westbrook Leads the Charge for the Thunder

The Thunder have the reigning Most Valuable Player on their team. Russell Westbrook was terrific a season ago, with arguably no help. This season – the point guard is scoring 19.3 points per game, dishing out 11.7 assists per game, and just shy of 19 rebounds per game.

Carmelo Anthony is leading the team with 23.7 points per game, while George is adding more than 21 per game. The Thunder round out their starting 5 with Andre Roberson and Steven Adams. Oklahoma City is hoping to increase the offensive numbers, as they are 19th in the league, with less than 102 per game.

Pacers Rebuilding

The Indiana Pacers are in a rebuilding mode, but out of the Eastern Conference – they could reach the postseason. The Pacers are led in scoring by former Indiana Hoosier star Victor Oladipo. The shooting guard is scoring 223 points per game, while big man Myles Turner, who has missed the last two games scored 21 in the season opener, along with 14 rebounds.

The Pacers surround those two guys in the starting lineup with Darren Collison, Bogan Bogdanovic and Thaddeus Young. Indiana has started the season with little defense, as they are 27th, allowing nearly 120 points per game.

Free NBA Pick

The Oklahoma City Thunder know they need to get back on track. This seems like a great  game to do so, with a ton of points. The Thunder should be able to score at will on the Pacers, and the defense will be enough to slow them down.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will win this game by double figures in a battle of two teams heading the opposite directions.  Bet on the Oklahoma City -13.5 over the Indiana Pacers in this NBA game on Wednesday night.
