Before Betting On Flames vs Canadiens

Two sides that will be looking to get back on track in the NHL will clash on Monday evening, as the Calgary Flames and Montreal Canadiens were both beaten in their previous fixture in the league. The pressure will be slightly increased on the Flames, as they have suffered back-to-back defeats in the NHL. They will be looking to avoid a third straight defeat on Monday.

Calgary currently sit fifth in the Pacific Division, as they have won just four of their previous ten games in the NHL. During that period, they have lost four times in regulation, and have suffered two defeats in overtime. The latest of their defeats was a 5-4 overtime loss against the Toronto Maple Leafs over the weekend. The Leafs scored the crucial winning goal in the overtime period, while Noah Hanifin was the outstanding star for the Flames despite the defeat, as he scored twice.

Montreal Canadiens will also be looking for a return to winning ways, as they were beaten in their previous fixture. That defeat was their fifth overall in their previous ten games, and it leaves them sitting sixth in the Atlantic Division. However, they have still won five of their previous ten games, and could yet have a role to play in the race for playoff positions in the East.

Their latest loss was suffered at home, as they were beaten 4-2 by the Los Angeles Kings. Montreal fell behind in the opening period, before they threaten a late comeback with two goals in the final period. However, the game was already in the hands of the Kings by the time that the Canadiens found their feet.

This should be a thrilling game on Monday night. However, we have slightly more confidence that the Canadiens will be able to bounce back from their recent setback, and we could see them recording a hard-fought victory at the expense of the Flames.
