Huge summer of international soccer is set for 2024, as Germany welcomes the best teams from around Europe. EURO 2024 marks the third time that the championships have been staged in Germany, and Italy come into the competition as the defending champions.

Before Betting On EURO 2024

EURO 2024 will get underway on June 14 when Germany take on Scotland. However, there are clear questions hanging over the host nation when it comes to their chances of winning the tournament this year, as they endured a miserable run of form between the start of the 2022 World Cup and first international break in 2024.

England could be the best placed nation to win the tournament, as the Three Lions look to win their first major tournament since 1966. England have been handed a favorable draw on paper, as they will come up against Denmark, Slovenia and Serbia in Group C. But, a potential clash with either Germany or Spain/Italy in the quarterfinals will be a big indicator as to how close they can go.

France once again look to be one of the leading contenders in the tournament, as they have shown throughout modern history that they have the quality to go deep in major competitions, most recently reaching the final of the World Cup in 2022. However, they were below their best in the previous edition of the EUROs.

Portugal could be the value bet at the current prices after breezing through the group stage without breaking a sweat. They looked excellent in the World Cup in 2022, and this could be the final opportunity for Cristiano Ronaldo to add another major international honor to his CV before retirement.

It should be an excellent summer of soccer action in Germany, and there are a number of leading chances. However, England have been knocking on the door at major tournaments throughout recent history, and their chances look sky high with the likes of Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, and Phil Foden leading the nation.
