The New Jersey Devils will be hoping to get back on track in the NHL on Wednesday, as they bid to end a six-game losing sequence. However, they could face an uphill struggle against a Florida Panthers side that have won five of their previous ten.

Before Betting On Devils vs Panthers

It had been an excellent start to the new season for the New Jersey Devils, as they sat top of the Eastern Conference just a couple of weeks ago. However, their form has nose-dived over recent weeks, as they have picked up just three wins from their previous ten games. Over that period, they have also lost five times in regulation, and they come into this game having lost their previous six in total.

The Devils will certainly be looking for a positive response on Wednesday, as they were thumped in their previous game on the road against the Carolina Hurricanes. That victory allowed the Hurricanes to take over at the top of the Metropolitan Division. The Devils didn’t register a goal until the final period when Jack Hughes netted, but by that time, the game was already over as a contest.

Meanwhile, the Florida Panthers will still be aiming for a playoff finish in the NHL this season. However, they will also need to find some consistency, as they have lost five times in regulation over their previous ten. The latest of those defeats was suffered in their previous fixture in the NHL.

That loss was suffered on the road against the Eastern Conference-leaders, the Boston Bruins. The Panthers threatened to get back into the game with three goals in the second period, but they still eventually lost the game 7-3. The Panthers goals in defeat were scored by Sam Reinhart, Carter Verhaeghe, and Eric Staal.

This is a very interesting game in the NHL on Wednesday, and the pressure will be on the Devils to respond. We could see them getting the win that they need this week to end their recent miserable run of form.
