Will Coco Gauff finally win her first Grand Slam and fulfill the expectations of the US public? Or will the Belarus star, Sabalenka, lift her second major? Welcome to the US Open finals preview.

Before Betting on Gauff vs. Sabalenka

Gauff’s journey to the semifinals at Flushing Meadows has been marked with nail-biting victories. She showcased her exceptional skills and determination by triumphing over opponents such as Laura Siegemund, Mirra Andreeva, the 32nd seed Elise Mertens, former No.1 Caroline Wozniacki, and the 20th seed Jelena Ostapenko, the former French Open champion.

The semifinals brought Gauff face to face with the tenth seed Karolina Muchova, whom Gauff defeated 6-4, 7-5, after a very tough and demanding battle. Gauff improved a lot, adding some power to her game, but still has enough room for improvement.

On the other side, Aryna Sabalenka came to New York Major as the second seed and showcased her domination with impressive victories over Maryna Zanevska, Jodie Burrage, Clara Burel, Daria Kasatkina, and Qinwen Zheng, all of them without a set lost.

She had a hard time in the semis against Madison Keys, losing the first set, and being on the verge of the abis when the American served for the match in the second set. Though, the Aussie Open champion responded, winning the second sequence 7-5, and then going back and forth with the rival before taking her down in the tie-break of the third set.

The head-to-head record between Gauff and Sabalenka currently stands at 3-2 in favor of the talented American. Their most recent encounter took place in the quarterfinals of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, where Sabalenka emerged as the victor with a convincing 6-4, 6-0 win.

Gauff looks too weak for Sabalenka, who may not be as fast and mobile as her rival, but has more experience and ferocity in strikes. That’s why we would bet on her to win.
