The NCAA Tournament has reached the Sweet 16 round. The Clemson Tigers are seeking another upset, utilizing their experience against ranked teams. The Wildcats aim to stop them with their high-flying offense.

Before Betting On Clemson vs Arizona

Clemson advanced to the second weekend of the tournament following excellent wins over the New Mexico Lobos and the Baylor Bears. The Tigers stopped the red-hot Lobos, who had just won the Mountain West Championship, in their tracks in the first round. They shut them down defensively, picking up a 77-56 victory in the process.

After dominating New Mexico, they entered their second-round game against Baylor as 4.5-point underdogs. Clemson was hardly intimidated by the spread, leading Baylor from wire-to-wire in the win. C PJ Hall was in foul trouble in both games, limiting his overall impact. If Hall stays out of foul trouble against Arizona, the Tigers have the potential to be even more dangerous

Meanwhile, Arizona cruised to the Sweet 16, easily claiming double-digit victories against their mid-major opponents, Long Beach State and Dayton. They’ll face their first real test of the tournament in this round, against a Clemson team that can match their level of physicality. Arizona ranks 9th in the country in both offensive and defensive efficiency.

The Wildcats enter this game favored by 6.5 points, with their balanced offensive and defensive abilities making it difficult for opponents to keep things close. They’ll be relying on North Carolina transfer Caleb Love to keep providing the bulk of their perimeter offense. He averaged 18.5 points per game, 7 rebounds per game, and 5 assists per game in their first two tournament wins.

Clemson will aim to keep their momentum going against the Pac-12’s final team in Arizona, but the Wildcats have a talent advantage in this game. They’ve proven that they can hold up against ACC competition by beating Duke on the road in November. Clemson won’t go down easy, so Arizona may not cover, but they should win.
