Wichita State comes into the game with a 24-5 overall record, and they have gone 14-3 in their first season in their next conference. The Wichiga State Shockers are -1 over the Cincinnati Bearcats on Sunday.

Bearcats Rolling Through Season

The Cincinnati Bearcats made no doubts. They took care of Tulane and won at least a share of the conference title. Now, a win in this game, and they will take it by themselves. The Bearcats are scoring more than 76 points per game, but their defense is what has been incredible for them. They are allowing just 57.2 points per game.

The top scorer for Cincinnati this season has been Jacob Evans with 13.3 points per game. He is one of four Bearcats scoring double digits per game. Gary Clark and Kyle Washington are the next two top scorers for Cincinnati with a combined 24 points per game.

Shockers Loving New Conference

Gregg Marshall and his Wichita State Shockers are seeking their 8th straight win. The last time the Shockers lost was on the road at the Temple Owls. Wichita State won the first meeting between these two teams, as they downed the Cincinnati Bearcats 76-72.

The Shockers have been great on the offensive side. Wichita State is scoring 83.9 points per game, which is within the Top 20 in College Basketball. The Shockers are dishing out more than 18.5 assists per game. Landry Shamet is the top scorer for Wichita State with 14.5 points per game, while playing nearly 32 minutes per game.

Shockers Down Bearcats

The Wichita State Shockers moved from the Missouri Valley Conference, and many wondered how they would be able to compete in their new conference. The answers have been quite well. The Shockers are a solid basketball team that really does not have too many flaws to take advantage of.

This game means the top seed in the conference tournament, and likely a higher seed in the NCAA Tournament. Both teams should be a Top 4 seed in the big dance. In the end, the home team gets the job done, and completes the season sweep over Cincinnati.
