Before Betting On Blues vs Avalanche

The reigning Stanley Cup champions are back in action on Monday, as the Colorado Avalanche will be looking to record a fifth straight win. They have been in excellent form of late, as they come into this fixture having won six of their previous ten games. They currently sit just two points off the Winnipeg Jets in the Central Division standings, and they could edge closer towards the summit with victory on Monday.

The Avalanche recorded their fourth straight victory over the weekend, as they produced an excellent display at home against the Carolina Hurricanes. They scored twice in the opening period, and twice in the final period to secure a 4-1 home victory. Cale Makar scored a brace in that success, while the other two goals were netted by Mikko Rantanen and Nathan MacKinnon.

Things are also beginning to look better for the St. Louis Blues, as they are showing signs of recovery after a very slow start to the new season. They had lost eight on the bounce just seven days ago, but they have recovered well in their previous two, claiming back-to-back victories.

However, they still remain bottom of the Central Division standings, having scored just 31 goals this term. But, confidence would have been built in their most recent victory, as the landed a 3-2 win on the road against the Vegas Golden Knights. Brandon Saad, Ryan O’Reilly, and Ivan Barbashev scored goals in that win.

The Blues appear to have turned a corner in their previous two fixtures, but we still expect the Avalanche to claim the victory in this fixture. They have won three of their previous four against the Blues, with all victories coming in the playoffs last season.
