The huge game in the Premier League this weekend comes from the Emirates, as Arsenal look to maintain their relentless charge towards a first league title since 2004. Manchester United are the visitors to North London, as the Red Devils look to maintain their ten-game unbeaten run.

Before Betting On Arsenal vs Man United

There are few bigger Premier League fixtures in history than Arsenal against Manchester United. The two famous giants competed for the league title throughout much of the 90s and early 00s, and the animosity between the two remains high. However, it’s only Arsenal that are in the title race this term, as the Gunners find themselves eighth clear of Manchester City coming into this round of fixtures.

Arsenal haven been excellent under Mikel Arteta throughout this season, as they have won 15 from 18 games, with their only league defeat coming at Old Trafford against United in September. The Gunners have been in fine recent form, as they have picked up three straight victories in the Premier League, but a busy month of fixtures looks set to determine their fate this term.

Their advantage at the top may have been shorter if United would have held on to a 1-0 lead against Crystal Palace in midweek. A victory in that fixture would have allowed the Red Devils to close to within three points of the Gunners with victory at the Emirates. However, the game hinged on a penalty decision that didn’t go United’s way, before Palace stole a point with a stunning free-kick in the final minute.

Still, United’s main aim this term will be to finish in a Champions League spot, and they currently have a six-point advantage in that particular fight. The Gunners have a fine recent home record against United, having won five of the previous seven. United could achieve a league double over Arsenal for only the second time since the Sir Alex Ferguson era this weekend.

Casemiro picked up a costly yellow card in midweek, which means the United man will be missing this crucial fixture on Sunday. His absence could be felt by the Red Devils, as the Gunners look excellent value to pick up maximum points.
