Before Betting On Anthony Joshua vs Otto Wallin

All eyes will be on the heavyweight division in Saudi Arabia on December 23, as two of the top stars will be involved on the card. Anthony Joshua is set to main event the card, as the British star chases a third straight victory. Joshua has been on the comeback trail since losing back-to-back fights against Oleksandr Usyk, and a victory in Saudi Arabia will set up a massive showdown with Deontay Wilder in 2024.

Joshua has bounced back in strong style since the latest of those defeats against Usyk in 2022, as he has landed victories in each of his previous two. AJ was workman-like against Jermaine Franklin when scoring a unanimous decision win, before he showed that he still had that killer instinct when scoring a seventh-round KO against Robert Helenius in August.

Otto Wallin presents a very stern test in Saudi Arabia, as the Swedish star has been largely impressive throughout his professional career. The heavyweight has won 26 of his 28 bouts, with his only loss coming by unanimous decision against Tyson Fury in September 2019. Since that defeat, he has bounced back to form by landing six straight victories.

His most recent success was achieved at the end of September, as he scored a split decision win against Murat Gassiev to win the WBA Intercontinental heavyweight title. His ability to stand his ground against some of the best will pose serious questions of Joshua in Saudi Arabia.
