Everyone thought Barca wouldn’t play 100% against Real Sociedad, yet they were wrong. They head to Almeria to close this year’s La Liga campaign against the last-placed team in the competition.

Before Betting on Almeria vs. Barcelona

Almeria is the weakest team in La Liga, having only 17 points in 35 appearances. They won just twice, which is one of the worst records ever in the history of Spanish football. Honestly speaking, we believe that Almeria gave up on the fight a bit too early and that it could play a bit better, but that’s not important anymore.

After winning on the road against Rayo Vallecano, 0-1, Almeria lost to Betis, also on the road, 3-2, though, after a solid battle against one of the better teams in the league. Almeria’s attack has been solid lately, scoring in the past six meetings, which is why five games throughout that stretch saw over 2.5 hits.

Barca was routine against Sociedad, winning 2-0 at “home” (Espanyol’s stadium). They had a lousy stretch of three losses in four contests, one of them a terrible exit from the Champions League at home vs. PSG. This was the first time Blaugrana’s defense looked well, and it kept a clean sheet.

Let us remind you Barcelona allowed 13 goals in throughout those four meetings, which had a very, very negative impact on their fans and some structures inside the club. Besides losing to PSG, they suffered a defeat in El Clasico, in the last moments of the event, 3-2. One more defeat was to Girona, 4-2.

Barca will give its youngsters a chance here, but even so, we think they will triumph against the weakest team in the league. We also expect to see a high number of goals.
