Gonzaga has been a #1 or #2 seed four times in their last seven NCAA Tournaments, only making it to the Final Four once in that span. Maybe being the #3 seed is the magic formula for the Bulldogs, whose championship odds have definitely increased with all the #1 seeds having been eliminated. Of course a very good Connecticut team also wants to punch their ticket to the Final Four as well and are indeed the -2.5 favorite in Saturday’s night cap.

Before Betting on Connecticut vs Gonzaga

Gonzaga has looked good playing with a chip on their shoulder so far this tournament, something that may continue considering they are the underdogs vs. UConn. The Bulldogs are also the higher seed though, and could still be a little exhausted following their 79-76 battle with UCLA on Thursday night.

While the Bulldogs were in a war on Thursday night, Connecticut cruised to another easy win with an 88-65 win over an Arkansas team that had just eliminated #1 seed Kansas last weekend. The Huskies crushed Iona 87-63 in the opener, and beat up on a West Coast Conference team (like Gonzaga) St. Mary’s 70-55 in round two.

Connecticut is playing their best basketball at the right time of year. They have two losses since January 31st, falling 56-53 at Creighton who is still alive in the NCAA Tournament and 70-68 to Marquette who was a #2 seed in March Madness this year.
