The Stanley Cup Finals drama was raised to another level over the weekend, as the Vegas Golden Knights secured a dramatic win over the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 3.
The hosts could now move within one victory of winning the Stanley Cup with a victory at the T-Mobile Arena in Game 4.

It has been a pulsating Stanley Cup Finals series to this point, but the advantage is with the Vegas Golden Knights. Vegas restored their series advantage on Saturday, beating the Carolina Hurricanes 5-4 after two periods of overtime.
A fascinating contest saw the Golden Knights lead 4-0 after the second period, before they shipped four efforts in the final frame. Mitch Marner was undeniably the star of the night, scoring three times and adding one assist.

All of the pressure in Game 4 will be on the Carolina Hurricanes. Defeat would see them go within one loss of losing the series. Carolina should be credited for their powers of recovery in Game 3, as they scored four sensational goals in the final frame to force overtime.
However, defensive weakness has been a trend throughout the finals. Jordan Staal ended the night with a goal and an assist, while further goals in the loss were scored by Andrei Svechnikov and Jordan Martinook.

The momentum in the Stanley Cup finals continues to ebb and flow. However, we could see the Canes fighting back on Tuesday to level the series ahead of Game 5 back in Carolina later this week.
