Following an 80-78 victory over the Seattle Storm, Connecticut has dropped its last three games. This includes a 71-61 loss to the Portland Fire on Wednesday night.

The Sun were up by 10 points after three, and held a 55-50 advantage at the 8:04 mark in the fourth quarter. However, Portland responded with a devastating 21-6 burst en route to a 10-point win.
Aneesah Morrow paced the offense with 13 points on a pedestrian 3-for-11 effort from the field. Charlisse Leger-Walker added 11 points and three assists for a Connecticut team that shot 39 percent overall and just five percent from 3-point range.
Los Angeles began the season with three losses in its first four games. Since that rough start, the team has won three straight. This stretch includes a 92-87 victory against the Washington Mystics.
The Sparks held an eight-point lead at halftime before Washington rallied to tie the game at 81 with 2:04 left in regulation. But thanks to Nneka Ogwumike's three-pointer and Erica Wheeler's burst that included eight points in the final 70 seconds, Los Angeles pulled away down the stretch.
Wheeler led four double-digit scorers with 21 points and eight assists. She was 8-of-16 from the field and 4-for-4 from the charity stripe. Ogwumike added a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds.
