Despite LeBron James' absence, the Lakers led by as many as 19 points through three quarters on their way to an 11-point win.
Luka Doncic had a magnificent performance. He finished with 44 points, including 20 in the first quarter. He also tallied nine rebounds and five assists. Austin Reaves contributed 19 points and five assists.
Following a narrow 103-100 loss to OKC, the Knicks responded with an impressive 142-103 victory against the Denver Nuggets on Friday night.
Already ahead by 13 points at the break, New York outscored the Nuggets 77-51 in the second half, including a 37-23 edge in the final frame.
OG Anunoby scored a team-high 34 points, collected seven rebounds, and handed out five assists. Josh Hart added 18 points, connecting on eight of his 12 shot attempts.
