Dallas Hopes To End Three-Game Skid
The Wings enter this conference matchup amid a three-game losing streak. Their latest setback was an 81-80 loss to the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday night.
Dallas trailed 44-37 at the break before rallying to take a 66-59 lead into the fourth quarter, setting the stage for a memorable finish. With a chance to put the game away, the Wings committed a turnover and missed a 3-pointer, giving the ball to Los Angeles with 20 seconds left to play.
Kelsey Plum got into the lane, courtesy of a screen from Dearica Hamby, and banked in a floater as the game clock expired. Rickea Jackson powered the offense with 25 points, five rebounds, and two steals. In addition to knocking down the game-winning shot, Plum scored 20 points and grabbed four rebounds.
With the latest chapter of this series in the books, the Sparks have now taken eight of the last 11 matchups against Dallas.
Storm Aiming For Third Win In Their Last Four Games
Following an 85-75 loss to the Atlanta Dream on Aug. 13, Seattle has won two of their previous three contests, including a 94-88 victory against the Chicago Sky.
After the teams battled to a 20-20 tie through the first 10 minutes, Seattle outscored Chicago 46-30 over the middle two quarters. Although the Sky won the scoring battle in the final frame 38-28, it wasn’t enough to prevent the Storm from getting the win.
Skylar Diggins scored a team-high 24 points and handed out six assists. Nneka Ogwumike contributed 21 points, six boards, and five dimes for a Seattle squad that shot 50 percent overall and 36.4 percent from distance.
Wings vs Storm WNBA Pick
Dallas is ranked 10th in both offensive and defensive efficiency. On the other side, Seattle is ninth in scoring and fifth in points allowed per contest (80.3).
