  • The Dallas Wings have the worst record in the league at 1-8.
  • At 8-0, the Minnesota Lynx are one of two undefeated teams.
  • These teams previously faced each other on May 21, with the Lynx claiming an 85-81 victory at the Target Center.

One of the games on Sunday’s WNBA slate features the Dallas Wings hosting the Minnesota Lynx. Does Minnesota improve to 9-0 in our Wings vs Lynx pick?

Wings Hope To End Four-Game Losing Streak

The Wings’ 109-87 victory over the Connecticut Sun on May 27 snapped a four-game losing skid. However, Dallas enters this matchup amid another four-game slide, including a 93-79 defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday.

DiJonai Carrington led the starting five with 16 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Luisa Geiselsoder led the second unit with a solid performance, finishing with 11 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and two steals.

Dallas kept the game close early, trailing 45-40 at the break. But thanks to a 6-0 run to begin the third quarter and another 9-0 burst to start the fourth period, Los Angeles increased its advantage to 76-55, essentially putting the game out of reach.

Minnesota Aiming For Ninth Straight Win

Meanwhile, the Lynx come into this matchup having won all eight of their games this season. Their latest triumph includes an 88-65 win against the Phoenix Mercury on Jun. 3.

Napheesa Collier led the way with 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the floor. She also tallied 11 rebounds and five assists.

Phoenix led 23-19 after the opening stanza. However, Minnesota responded with a 48-26 scoring edge over the middle two quarters, taking a 67-49 lead into the final frame.

And thanks to a 9-0 run midway through the fourth quarter, Minnesota increased the lead to 24 points en route to its eighth straight victory. The Lynx have started a season 8-0 for the fourth time in franchise history.

Wings vs Lynx WNBA Pick

The Wings have the fifth-highest scoring average in the league, but also have the second-worst scoring defense, allowing 88.9 points per game. Additionally, Dallas has lost its last four games by an average of nine points per contest.

On the other side, the Lynx are ranked second in offensive and defensive efficiency. Minnesota is holding its opponents to 40.6 percent shooting overall (3rd) and 27.2 percent from 3-point range (1st).

With those stats in mind, look for Minnesota to roll to another dominating victory when these teams take the court on Sunday afternoon.
