Phoenix held a 44-36 lead at the break before Washington got within 71-69 late in the final frame. However, the Mercury scored the last four points of the contest en route to their 27th win of the season.

Kahleah Copper led the way with 18 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocked shots. Alyssa Thomas finished with 12 points, 11 boards, and nine dimes.
