One of the games on Tuesday’s WNBA slate features the Seattle Storm hosting the Dallas Wings. Will Dallas get its first win of the season against Seattle in our Storm vs Wings pick?
Seattle Looking For Its Third Win In Four Games
Following a 93-83 setback against the Connecticut Sun on Jul. 6, the Storm have won two of their last three contests, including a 67-58 victory against the Golden State Valkyries on Jul. 16.
Nneka Ogwumike powered the Storm’s scoring attack with 22 points and eight rebounds on 7-for-15 shooting. Erica Wheeler added 15 points, three rebounds, and two assists.
In a game that was close throughout, Seattle finally created some separation thanks to a layup and a pair of free throws from Ogwumike, which gave the home team a 61-54 lead with 1:18 left to play.
Dallas Hopes To Snap Four-Game Skid
After an impressive 98-89 victory against the Phoenix Mercury nearly three weeks ago, the Wings have dropped their last four games. This includes a 90-86 loss to the Las Vegas Aces in their last outing before the All-Star break.
The Wings’ offense featured five players who reached double figures, including four starters. Paige Bueckers led the charge with 20 points, eight rebounds, and two steals. JJ Quinerly contributed 17 points, five boards, four dimes, and five steals.
Dallas trailed by 20 points entering the final frame (72-52). However, Bueckers’ baseline jumper trimmed the deficit to 86-84 with 26.5 seconds left to play. A’ja Wilson’s layup on the following sequence gave the Aces a four-point lead and helped Las Vegas hold on for the victory.
Storm vs Wings WNBA Pick
Seattle has the seventh-best offensive rating and ranks third in defensive efficiency. On the other side, Dallas is ranked seventh in scoring and 11th in points allowed per contest (86.8).
The Storm won the four-game set in 2024, and have taken both matchups this season as well. Given that trend, look for Seattle’s success to continue when these Western Conference teams collide on Tuesday night.
