One of the games on Friday’s WNBA slate features the Seattle Storm hosting the Connecticut Sun. Will Connecticut end its losing streak in our Storm vs Sun pick?
Seattle Looks To Bounce Back From An Eight-Point Loss Against Indiana
After securing victories in three straight games, the Storm dropped an 94-86 decision to the Indiana Fever on Tuesday night.
Skylar Diggins and Erica Wheeler were the top performers for Seattle. Diggins led the way with 22 points and six assists on 9-for-15 shooting. Wheeler contributed 20 points, knocking down five of her 10 attempts from distance.
Seattle trailed 45-39 at the break. However, the team was doomed in the third, as Indiana held a 30-19 scoring advantage. Although the Storm made a late push, they came up short, thanks in part to an 8-for-28 effort from 3 and being outrebounded 38-21.
The Sun Aim To Snap Their Seven-Game Slide
Following an 84-76 win against the Atlanta Dream three weeks ago, the Sun have dropped seven straight. This includes an 85-59 loss to the Las Vegas Aces.
Tina Charles put up 18 points along with three rebounds and two assists. Olivia Nelson-Ododa added 12 points on 4-for-8 shooting from the field.
However, the Sun’s offense was nearly nonexistent. In addition to scoring only six points in the opening stanza, the team shot 32.4 percent overall and converted just two of its 13 attemtps from beyond the arc (15.4 percent).
Storm vs Sun WNBA Pick
Seattle has the fifth-best offensive rating and ranks seventh in defensive efficiency, surrendering 101.2 points per 100 possessions. Meanwhile Connecticut is 13th in points per game and 12th in scoring defense, allowing 87.4 points per contest.
Both teams are coming off losses in their previous outings. However, the Sun have dropped seven straight, five of which were by double-digit margins.
With that in mind, look for the Storm to come out on top and hand Connecticut its eighth straight defeat.
