One of the games on Monday’s WNBA slate features the Seattle Storm hosting the Los Angeles Sparks. Who has the edge in our Storm vs Sparks pick?

Storm Aim To Extend Win Streak To Three Games

After suffering a 95-75 loss against the Indiana Fever, Seattle has won their last two games, including a 79-69 victory against the Chicago Sky on Saturday.

Seattle’s eight-point halftime lead dwindled to 57-52 with 9:36 remaining in the final frame. But a three-point play from Skylar Diggins ignited a crucial 7-0 run, allowing the Storm to stay ahead the rest of the way.

Six players produced double-digit scoring totals for the Storm. Nneka Ogwumike had a team-high 20 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Ezi Magbegor finished with 13 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Los Angeles Looks To Build On Win Against Washington

The Sparks enter this matchup on the heels of an 81-78 victory against the Washington Mystics on Sunday night.

The Sparks led by double digits early on, but Washington fought back to get within 65-63 on Jade Melbourne’s bucket with 4:22 left to play. Los Angeles responded with a 12-4 burst, which included eight straight points from Kelsey Plum and layups from Rae Burrell and Dearica Hamby. The game-changing stretch gave the Sparks a 77-67 advantage with 1:56 left in regulation.

Hamby was one of three starters who reached double figures. She finished with 20 points, 12 rebounds, and two steals. Plum contributed 18 points, seven assists, and four rebounds.

Storm vs Sparks WNBA Pick

Seattle is eighth in scoring but is a top-five team in points allowed per outing (79.9) On the other side, Los Angeles has the fifth-best offensive rating, but ranks 11th in defensive efficiency.

The Storm have dropped two of three against Los Angeles this season. But in a game with playoff implications, look for this group to play with a sense of urgency and even the season series at 2-2.
