  • The Seattle Storm are 16-12 and have the third-best record in the Western Conference.
  • Meanwhile, the Indiana Fever are also 16-12 and occupy the No. 3 spot in the Eastern Conference.
  • These squads previously faced off on Jun. 24, with the Fever coming out on top 94-86.

One of the games on Sunday’s WNBA slate features the Seattle Storm hosting the Indiana Fever. Can Seattle cool off Indiana in our Storm vs Fever pick?

Seattle Looks to Bounce Back From Double-Overtime Loss Against Sparks

After securing a 101-85 win against the Connecticut Sun, the Storm fell to the Los Angeles Sparks 108-106 on Friday night.

Although the Sparks have the second-worst record out west, they played some inspired basketball, as the outcome of this game required two overtime periods.

With the game knotted at 106-106, Los Angeles forward Dearica Hamby hit a layup with 4.3 seconds to play. Seattle had an opportunity to tie the game, but Skylar Diggins’ attempt fell off the rim as time expired.

Nneka Ogwumike powered Seattle’s offense with a game-high 37 points, along with 12 rebounds and four assists.

Fever Aiming For Their Fifth Straight Victory

The Fever enter this contest riding a four-game win streak. Their latest triumph includes an 88-78 victory against the Dallas Wings on Friday.

Indiana used a 9-0 burst at the start of the second quarter to break a 22-22 tie and led 48-42 at the break. After the Fever increased their advantage to 70-57 at the end of the third, Dallas got within 75-69 midway through the final frame.

Indiana responded by scoring five straight points to seal the victory. Kelsey Mitchell was one of three starters who reached double figures. She led the way with 23 points and shot 3-for-8 from distance.

Storm vs Fever WNBA Pick

Seattle is ranked ninth in offensive efficiency and has the second-lowest defensive rating in the association. On the other side, Indiana has the fourth-best scoring average and ranks sixth in points allowed per game (81.0).

Despite Indiana winning the last two meetings between these teams, the Storm hold a 3-2 edge in the previous five matchups. The Storm should win this one outright. On the flip side, look for the Fever to cover the spread as they are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road contests against Seattle.
